Ok, ok. It's time to talk honeymoon. Adam and I took the advice of pretty much everyone we know and kept our honeymoon as relaxed and low key as possible. Actually, we hardly made any plans at all! Just booked a couple of flights and a place to stay and hoped for the best. And ohmygoodness we never wanted to leave. The weather was perf (70s and sunny all week), our B&B could not have been more charming, the food was fabulous and the former presidents were so gracious. So here we go. Kennebunkport, Maine.

doctors in a hallway
Congrats to my main squeeze on the halfway point. He has worked so hard these past couple of years. Of course, he still has a long road ahead of him but we're really going to try and enjoy these next few weeks. We're off to Virginia tomorrow to get ready for the big event, and then it's Maine for a week! Next time I blog I'll be a married woman.
Wish me luck!

getting physical
Lately, Adam has been really into doing physical exams on me. You know, "for practice". Whenever I see him traipsing up to the car after school with a stethoscope in his hand I groan a little bit because here we go again!
Monday night we did basic vitals: "now I'm going to take your blood pressure" "can you hear this out of both ears?"
Tuesday was chest and lungs: "take a deep breath...take another deep breath...now breathe normally...did you stop breathing? keep breathing but just breathe normally...just try not to think about it." It's hard people!
Tonight's the pelvic exam. Kidding! I have my limits. But really, I can't help feeling like he's sizing me up a little bit. I mean, I'm not worried...I have nothing to hide. But last night he did hear some crackling in my lungs so stay tuned and cross your fingers that this wedding thing's still on.

another milestone i guess
If our engagement were a pregnancy we'd be in the third trimester. That's right people. 6 months down, 3 to go. To celebrate we're going to a wedding so that we can glare at the happy couple and I can ask myself "why did I need to get married in the summer?" "who thought a 9 month engagement was a good idea?" Sigh.
*Sorry to be so negative but gosh...being engaged suxxxxx. Next time I'm totally eloping.

hypothetically speaking
How many bridesmaids skirts is too many to ask your 78 year old grandma to make?
One?
Three?
Eight?
