finally a student

Yesterday I checked out 4 books from the BYU library,
which brings my total number of books checked out from the BYU library to 4...I feel like maybe I've been faking academia these past 3 plus years.

Oh well. I'm too excited about smooching this bearded face* in a week to really care.

*and Amber's face and Norhan's face and Jessica's face and Charlotte's face, etc.

**except minus the beard, of course.

***but definitely including the smooching.

I don't mean to brag but....

If I made the news twice in the space of 4 days,
does that make me a celebrity?

Not Noticeable

Norhan has Swine Flu so I have to post to keep her occupied while she's quarantined in her room. It's the hard knocks life for me. (I hope Adam isn't mad that he's been asking me to post pictures for like 3 weeks and I haven't done it. (I also hope he's not mad when he scrolls down and sees the pictures I promised I would never post on Facebook. Good thing this isn't Facebook. Phew))

The only problem is I didn't have this great idea until 7:00 tonight and my camera only works in natural daylight. Cool, right? So maybe I'll post more pictures of my room later (like between the hours of 11 am and 5 pm) but this should wet your appetite:

Also. A new school year calls for...A NEW BIKE!
And I got mine for $40 less than I sold my old one.

And if that's not enough, I call on the powers of Hulu to bring you some entertainment. We watched this clip in my Sociology of Gender class the other day. It was funny but what was funnier was thinking about the time that Adam let me do this to him:

Get well soon, Norhan. I'm no good at this blogging thing.

don't believe everything you hear

It doesn't really rain in Seattle! And we slept like babies!

Here is what Seattle had to offer us:

a nephew

gum!

the first Starbucks (this one's for you Miss Amber) and lots of local artists

A troll- as seen here!

an underground city and tour guide with a naughty sense of humour

Modeling opportunities on a ferry

No seriously, A FERRY!

A double date with our fabulous hosts

paddle boating!

A Monorail trip that cost about $1/second

A broken ferris wheel. BOO.

A temple

We <3ed it.

I need to get this off my chest

All I want to say about the beach is this:

I won the Second Annual Wolfe Family Go Fish Tournament

We were all on really strict diets

and Adam and I had a beaching bitching time.

welcome to my blog, Ottley. and welcome SMT to Adam's bookmarks.

Swine Flu

It feels just like the regular flu.

The only difference is I got it from a pig.

And they'll be joining these famous alum:

I am a mixture of wildly excited and extremely jealous.

Oh and congratulations to Jessica for making her first ever spontaneous decision.
I have a feeling you won't regret it.

with that east coast slang

Here are some highlights from the 2 days we spent in DC. Not pictured are:
  • Me practically in tears when we had to find our lost car in the rain
  • The security guard at the National Archives who maybe took his job a little too seriously
  • The wild goose chase for elephants at the zoo
  • The Holocaust. (and also the museum).
  • The 30484375 middle schoolers on field trips
  • That really cool Neanderthal (which may or may not actually exist) that Adam was convinced was in the Natural History Museum
  • Our lunch in Georgetown (which we found out later wasn't really Georgetown because we got off at the wrong Metro stop...my bad)
  • All the money we spent getting into museums (not pictured because it doesn't exist!)
  • Barack Obama
  • Our library cards to the Library of Congress and the Book of Mormon that took us 2 hours to find
  • And all of the pictures that wouldn't fit onto my USB
Pictured below are:
  • Equal parts humans and animals. Don't ask me why.
