In my mind I'm going to (South) Carolina

After five weeks in Idaho Anders and I were ready for a change of scene so we headed east to get some family/friend time. We first spent a week with my family in Virginia, then went to Georgia for a couple of days to visit my college bestie Morgan, then off to South Carolina to visit my Seattle besties Ande and Courtney, then to Delaware to spend a week with our best dad and my extended family at the beach. I know I've been a better blogger this year but I'm still, I'm still Jenny from the Block so obviously I only have pictures from our week with friends. But here we go anyway!

Anders hated all the extra attention as you can clearly see.
Morgan's Instagram caption for this picture was perfect so I don't feel like I need to reinvent the wheel: "When one of your best friends from college comes from the other side of the country to visit, you pause to take a picture even though Anders is headed straight for the pool unattended".

Augusta! Home of the Masters! Also the Hansens! Aaaaaand that's about it. This was such a quick visit (less than 48 hours) but just enough time for Anders to be sufficiently doted on by his two big kid buddies and for Morgan and me to catch up on all the haps in the 4 years since we'd seen each other last. Like the 3.5 babies we've produced, etc. Morgan is one of a few reasons why I have a very strong testimony of random roommates in college. Amen.

Off to Hilton Head! Still smiling because we didn't know about
all the calamities about to befall us. #stomachbug #beesting
Soaking up a crazy South Carolina thunderstorm. East coast rain storms have my heart.
3 toddlers and 2 vehicles, so...
Some early morning dock time. I don't think I would mind his early wake ups so much
if we could head to the dock every day.
Courtney Photoshopped a bunch of the pictures to make me look ghostly pale.
Don't think I didn't notice, Courtney! (broken heart emoji)
Brunette babies need not apply
After Augusta we headed to Okatie, SC to meet up with Courtney and Ande + babies. Being with these friends again was so good for the soul. Not so great on the stomach, though. William "the vector" McNaught ended up bringing the house down with some kind of virus, but not even 35 pukes in 2 days could stop us from enjoying ourselves. I'm still mad these girls left Seattle. Come back anytime (in the next 9 months) ladies!

Basically, my biggest take aways from this post are that I'm incredibly blessed in the friends department but also suuuuper pale. BRB going tanning.

  1. hahaha! Any chance I can get to make myself look just a little more tan....you know me ;) Also, I had almost kind of forgotten how much sickness there was on/becuase of this trip! That's how you know we had a good time.
